May 18, 2012 Meeting Conference

Glaucoma Care - Decision Making in Diagnosis and Management

Objectives: This session will provide the participating ophthalmologist an improved understanding of current decision making in providing glaucoma care. Decision making based upon the history, physical exam, and supplemental testing will be discussed as the initial diagnosis and decision to treat is being made. The ongoing decision processes in caring for chronic glaucoma and assessing for disease progression will be emphasized. Treatment decisions regarding use of laser surgery, incisional surgery, and surgical options for the patient with coexisting cataract will also be addressed.
