Membership Information:
You are eligible
for membership in NEOS if you are a board-certified ophthalmologist
who has resided or practiced in New England for at least 2 years.
You must be proposed
by a member and seconded by another member. After nomination at
the business meeting, an application will be sent to you for completion
by you and your sponsoring ophthalmologists. This is then forwarded
to the Chairman of the Admissions Committee:
Mitchell Gilbert, MD
NEOS
P.O. Box 9165
Boston, Mass 02114
We also require
letters of recommendation from the sponsoring and seconding ophthalmologists.
Your name will be circulated to the NEOS membership for comments
pro and con.
The Admissions
Committee reviews your certification by the American Board of Ophthalmology or
the Royal College of Surgeons
(Canada), as well as members' comments, and then submits its
recommendation to the Executive Board. Your name is published in
the meeting program and is presented to the entire membership at
the business meeting for a final vote. If you are approved, membership
commences with payment of dues.
If you have any
questions or would like an application for membership, please Email
your request or questions to Mitchell Gilbert, MD.
Thank you.
