Residents and fellows from all the New England ophthalmologic teaching programs are invited and encouraged to submit abstracts for a scientific poster presentation contest to be conducted at the May 18, 2012, NEOS meeting. Posters will be judged on originality and scientific merit. Awards will be made for the first prize $500.00, second prize $300.00, third prize $200.00 and three honorable mentions of $50.00 each. Funding for the awards is derived from a gift to the NEOS Education Endowment Fund honoring the late Sanford Hecht, MD. Poster presentations exhibited at ARVO in 2012 and at the AAO meeting in of 2011 may be submitted. We encourage all trainees to participate in this event.
